Space and time cannot be separated from one another. Remarkably, the German language uses the term “Zeitraum” (time-span* or literally time-space), which expresses the fact that time and space are interconnected. Yet what we truly and essentially are is timeless—or rather, outside of time and space.
In space and time, we are both spatially present (here) and temporally existent (now). Or to put it another way: while we are here for a certain period of time, we also occupy the space that belongs to that time—the space-time.
Just as time passes, so too does the spatial or material realm. Here in this space-time, everything is transient. Some things pass relatively slowly, others relatively quickly. Essentially, however (that is, in our very being), we are timeless and spaceless. In this sense, we are here in this world, but we are not of this world.
The transitory came and will pass away again; the timeless, on the other hand, is, and we, who are children of the Imperishable One, are as He is. We have indeed come here, but not to stay, for only in time „staying“ is possible. Here, where we occupy space, we therefore have our abode for a period of time. When our time has run out, we will leave our spacesuit behind in time and space.
That which stays came and must also leave or pass away. That which is, on the other hand, does not stay, because it is and “staying” is defined by time. We are what we are and appear here as something transitory.
Here, ideally, we express the essential and the eternal—that which does not remain because it is.

Raum und Zeit lassen sich nicht voneinander trennen. Bemerkenswerter Weise verwendet man im Deutschen den Begriff ‚Zeitraum‘, worin zum Ausdruck kommt, dass Zeit und Raum miteinander verbunden sind. Doch das, was wir eigentlich und wesentlich sind, ist zeitlos bzw. außerhalb von Zeit und Raum.

Im Wesentlichen aber (also in unserem Sein), sind wir zeitlos und raumlos. In diesem Sinne sind wir also hier in dieser Welt, aber eben nicht von dieser Welt.
Das Vergängliche kam und wird wieder vergehen, das Zeitlose hingegen ist, und wir, die wir Kinder des Unvergänglichen Einen sind, sind so, wie Er ist. Wir sind zwar hier her gekommen, aber nicht, um zu bleiben, denn nur in der Zeit gibt es Bleiben. Hier, wo wir Raum einnehmen, haben wir also unsere Bleibe für einen Zeitraum. Wenn unsere Zeit abgelaufen ist, werden wir unseren Raumanzug in Zeit und Raum zurücklassen.
Das, was bleibt, kam und muss auch wieder gehen bzw. ver-gehen. Das hingegen, was ist, bleibt nicht, weil es ist und weil Beiben sich durch Zeit definiert. Wir sind, was wir sind und treten hier in Erscheinung als etwas Vergängliches.
Hier bringen wir idealerweise das Wesentliche und Unvergängliche zum Ausdruck, dass nicht bleibt, weil es ist.
